Hotel Policy

Check-In and Check-Out Time

Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out is before 11:00 am. Early check in and late check out fees may apply.

Occupancy and Local Tax

Transient Occupancy Tax of 10.50 % and a TBID Tax of 0.20% is charged on the room rate only. Sales tax of 7.75%  will be added to purchased items such as chocolates, flowers or wine.

Guarantee Policy

Guarantee Policy: All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. Deposit Required – one (1) night’s room and tax.

Cancellation Policy / Modification Policy

Cancellations or modifications resulting in the reduction of the number of nights, within 48 hours of arrival will result in a charge equal to one (1) night’s room and tax.

No Shows

If you do not cancel your reservation and do not show up, your credit card will be charged one (1) night’s room and tax. No show reservations consisting of multiple night will be released 24 hours after the arrival date.

Guest Identification Required

Guests will be required to present a valid identification at check-in and must match the guest name on the reservation. If you are using a company card or another party’s credit card, an authorization form is required and must be on file at time of check-in.

Occupancy Policy

Each room can accommodate up to two people with the exception of our suite in which the maximum is four.

Breakfast

Cormorant Boutique Hotel offers a selection of fruits, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea from the best La Jolla bakeries. No hot items will be served. Breakfast can be enjoyed in bed or in our ocean view rooftop every morning at 8 AM. Enjoy a simple and delicious quick bite before a day full of activities.

Smoke-Free

We are a 100% smoke-free property. Please do not smoke in any of the guest rooms, on the patios or within 20 feet of the building. If smoking occurs, there will be a $250 dollar cleaning fee charged per night to your credit card.

Pet Friendly

We have pet-friendly rooms with exterior access that are available upon request for dogs which weigh 40 pounds or under. If you are interested in bringing your dog, advance reservations are required, as well as a non-refundable fee of $125 per stay is required.

Candles

Open flamed candles are not allowed. Please do not light any candles in your guest room. If lit and damage occurs, you will be liable for the entire amount of damage. Safe flame-free candles are available at the front desk should you wish to have a candle lit ambiance in your room.

Cash Policy

Cash payment is accepted at the time of check-in; however a credit card is required to remain on file along with a cash deposit of $100 for incidentals.

Accessibility

Two wheelchair accessible guest rooms are available. If needed, please ensure it is requested at the time of reservation.

Service Dogs

When booking your reservation please inform the front desk agent that a service dog will be accompanying you. Service animals are allowed in all guest areas. A service animal may only be classified as a dog which was trained to perform a task for a person with a disability. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, service dogs that only provide emotional or comfort support are not qualified. For more information, please visit www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm

Housekeeping

Our housekeeping staff will enter daily for stayover guests (more than one night) to freshen guest rooms. If the “Do Not Disturb” sign is placed on the door, the housekeeping staff will not enter the room. If any additional amenities are needed, please contact the front desk staff.

Parking

Off-site parking is offered as well as Valet parking for an additional cost. Hotel guests can use the loading zone in front of the hotel to unload/load during check-in and check-out.
