Happy Hour
The perfect La Jolla Happy Hour awaits at Birdseye, and it adds some variety to the afternoon specials around town. For one thing, ours takes place until 2 pm (instead of in the late afternoon/early evening), giving you the chance to enjoy delicious food and drink specials before the evening rush. And thanks to the coveted location of our ocean-view rooftop bar, La Jolla visitors can enjoy soothing Pacific views while sipping on a selection of beer, house wines, house wells, and specialties such as margaritas, mojitos, and the very refreshing grapefruit hibiscus spritz, all at reduced rates. Stop in for a few hours and we think you’ll agree—it really doesn’t get any better than this!
Taco Tuesday
In case you thought a festive atmosphere, craft drinks, and good food should wait for the weekend, we’re here to tell you that Birdseye’s Taco Tuesday will disabuse you of that notion! Every Tuesday, join us for an upscale take on the ever-popular Taco Tuesday concept. As part of the $35 special, you’ll get three mouthwatering tacos—spicy pulpo, carne asada, and Mexican wild shrimp—all made with the freshest ingredients and toppings. Also included are chips and salsa on the side, as well as a Birdseye Cadillac Casa Amigos Reposado margarita, whose quality and flavor will blow you away (no sugary pre-made mix here!). Best of all, you’ll enjoy your Taco Tuesday overlooking the ocean—that’s the top benefit of choosing a La Jolla restaurant with a view!
Brunch
Brunch in La Jolla is a time-honored tradition, and with the recent unveiling of our brunch specials, we’ve upped the game when it comes to this late breakfast/early lunch social gathering. From a delightfully savory salmon benedict to pineapple pancakes with homemade coconut butter and powdered sugar, the hugely varied menu features creative takes on breakfast favorites. You’ll see seafood features heavily on the menu as well—jumbo wild shrimp, octopus tacos, and smoked salmon make an appearance. And of course, we have must-have local favorites like chilaquiles and avocado toast.
Brunch is served on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. When you finish, head to your room for a nap or make your way down to La Jolla Cove to enjoy the beach when the sun is at its highest position in the sky.
Drink Flights
The hardest part of sitting down in a beautiful La Jolla restaurant is narrowing down your drink choices. Which mimosa, mojito, or margarita flavor should you choose? With Birdseye’s flight special, you’ll get to try four different flavors! Opt for the mojito flight to sample strawberry rose, dragon fruit, lime, and pineapple mojitos, all infused with that minty freshness mojitos are known for. Prefer margaritas? Let us impress you with a margarita flight, including dragon fruit, lime, guava, and pineapple flavors. Perfect for brunch, the mimosa flight gives you classics like cranberry and orange juice, as well as more exotic flavors like guava and pineapple.
